Moong Dal Halwa | मूंग की दाल का हलवा | Instant Halwa

Today we learn how to make Moong Dal Halwa.

Moong Dal Halwa is my favorite among all halwa recipes not mine many people only love moong dal halwa because of its unique taste. it is a Rajasthani dish and It’s very rich and sweet with loads of ghee and dry fruits. Here is the step by step recipe.


  • 1/2 cup Moong Dal(Soaked)

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

  • ½ Cup Milk

  • A pinch of Kesar

  • 2 Cardamom

  • 4 Tbsp of desi ghee

  • Dry Fruits(Chopped)


  1. Firstly, Grind Soaked Dal in the grinder.

  2. After that, heat desi ghee in a kadhai and add moong dal.

  3. Keep stirring till it turns its color & aroma is coming out.

  4. You need to cook till it starts releasing fats from sides.

  5. After that, add sugar.

  6. Mix well till sugar gets dissolves.

  7. Add milk with Kesar. you can also add some malai to make it creamy.

  8. Give it a continuous stir until it soaks milk.

  9. Finally, add cardamom & dry fruits.

  10. Cook for 2 more minutes.

  11. Finally, moong dal halwa is ready to be served.

  12. Enjoy!
