Today we learn how to make Sabudana Vada.
Sabudana vada is usually made in fasting time as u know Navratri is going on & maximum people are fasting in India. Due to corona-virus, it is said that we need more immunity to fight with virus Sabudana vada is the best option to have during fasting because it gives u all the nutrition’s that u need to boost immunity. 100gm of Sabudana contains 11% of zinc it also contains fiber, carbs & protein.
Ingredients for Sabudana Vada:-
1 bowl Sabudana (Soaked)
4 to 5 Potato (boiled)
salt as needed
oil for frying
½ Tbsp Chili Flakes
Roasted cumin powder 1 tbsp
Black pepper 1/2 tbsp
2 Green chili (chopped)
1-inch ginger (crushed)
Method For Making Sabudana Vada :
Firstly, soaked 1 bowl of sabudana for 7 to 8 hours.
Then boil 4 to 5 potatoes & peel them.
In a large bowl of sabudana add boiled potatoes & mash them well.
After that, add salt according to your taste I am adding 1 ½ tbsp of salt.
Now we are going to add ½ tbsp of chili flakes.
After that, add ½ tbsp of black pepper & roasted cumin powder.
I am taking 2 green chilies you can skip it also.
Add some crushed ginger to enhance the taste.
Mix all the ingredients well.
Make small vadas you can also give different shapes according to your choice.
I am going to shallow fry vadas you can also deep fry them.
Take a pan, add some oil in it you can also use olive oil.
Place vadas in a pan & cook from both sides till it turns golden in color.
Serve it with Tomato chutney.
Note: You can also make it as a snack when you are not fasting make some more veggies in it to make it more flavorful.
