Today we learn how to make Vermicelli Upma Recipe.
Vermicelli upma recipe is a south Indian recipe that is made for breakfast u can also make it as an evening snack for your tea time. Above all, it keeps you healthy yet tasty option for you as well as your kids for snack time. Easy to make it hardly takes 15 minutes. So here is the full recipe of vermicelli upma.
Ingredients for Vermicelli Upma Recipe.:-
1 cup vermicelli
4 Tbsp of oil
Water for boiling
1/2 tbsp of mustard seeds
Dried red chili
1 tsp chana dal
2 green chill chopped
Handful of peanuts
2 onion (chopped)
Medium capsicum (chopped)
Small carrot (chopped)
½ Red chili powder
1 tbsp of Maggie masala
salt as needed
coriander for garnish
Firstly, Heat oil in a pan.
Secondly, roast vermicelli for 2 minutes, In other words, cook it till it changes its color to light golden.
Boil water in a pan & add vermicelli.
Cook it for 5 minutes vermicelli is done therefore I am going to strain extra water.
Take a pan, heat oil.
After that, add mustard seeds & dried red chili.
When it starts crackle add chana dal.
Now add peanuts & roast it for a minute.
Add green chili & saute well.
Further, add onions and saute slightly.
Similarly, add capsicum and carrot & saute for a minute.
Additionally, add ½ tbsp of red chili powder, Maggie masala, and salt as needed. In addition, you can also add 1/4 tbsp of turmeric powder.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Finally, add cooked vermicelli and most importantly, mix gently so that it didn’t mash.
After that, add coriander & lemon mix well.
Serve hot for breakfast or as an evening snack.
Note: you can add any of the vegetables according to your choice and availability.
